Butler Sink For Laminate Worktop

The sink looks the same but has the taps attached so they dont need to be drilled through the worktop now i d like to put this in my utility room at the moment my utility is just a worktop with a stainless steel 1 1 2 bowl sink appliances underneath.

This is because of the way the sinks are positioned as undermounted solutions. With a traditional style and light colour this ceramic sink will beautifully complement darker coloured surfaces like our black granite solid laminate worktop. There are some truly brilliant laminate worktop decors now available from worktop express that are perfect for recreating a traditional kitchen feel at an affordable price. The sink installs flush to the laminate not below the surface of the counter to prevent water from soaking into the particleboard.

Depending on the breadth of the strip at the back the strength of the worktop material chosen and the weight length of the sections to either side of the sink it may or may not be feasible to make. Belfast or butler belfast and butler sinks are associated with traditional kitchens but they work perfectly well with the contemporary design of solid laminate worktops. This means an entirely different mounting procedure is necessary for an undermount sink with laminate countertops. Traditional butler sinks sit beneath the worktop so the three sided hole must be polished just like the polished cutout for an undermount sink.

If water gets into the sealed edge of the laminate worktop then it will just blow swell the worktop as you would have to cut and re edge laminate when fitting it next to the sink. We would advise strongly against it.
